A vibrant Mexican herb and pineapple chaser, traditionally served alongside tequila shots.
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh or pasteurized pineapple juice
- 1 bunch fresh cilantro, roughly chopped
- ½ bunch fresh mint, leaves only
- 1–2 jalapeños, roughly chopped (remove seeds for less heat)
- ¼ cup fresh lime juice
- ½ teaspoon salt
Steps
- Combine pineapple juice, cilantro, mint, jalapeño, lime juice, and salt in a blender.
- Blend on high for 30–45 seconds until smooth and vibrant green.
- Strain through a fine-mesh strainer, pressing the solids to extract all the liquid.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving. Keeps for up to 4 days.
- Serve in a shot glass alongside a shot of blanco tequila — drink the verdita first, then the tequila.
